-New Director for Twilight Sequel?
Right Before I started to write this, this afternoon news came out that rumors are flooding the internet that Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke is not going to be rehired for New Moon, the Twilight Sequel that was greenlit about two weeks ago. Summit Entertainment is said to be ready to make an announcement in a few days and that the Editor Nancy Richardson was the one who saved the film. Click here to read the whole story.
The weekend after thanksgiving weekend is normally a slow weekend for movies and this year was no different. The top seven movies for the most part stay the same and that means Four Christmases with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon make it two weeks in a row for the holiday flick putting there two week total at just over 70 million, about ten million short of the production budget. The two new openings didn’t crack the top seven as Punisher: Warzone only makes 4 million and shows that The Punisher needs a new direction and Punisher to be successful. Cadillac Records opened to a limited opening and was able to grab 9th on the box office list with 3.5 Million.
1. Four Christmases – 18.1 Million
2. Twilight – 13.1 Million
3. Bolt – 9.6 Million
4.
5. Quantum of Solace – 6.6 Million

Last night...Tree lighting at Rockefellar Center(gonna have to go there a few times this winter) it was pretty cool with a ton of performances...then there was the Grammy nomination concert thing which didnt do much for me except bring up a big thing prepare for this....
HOW WERE THE JONAS BROTHERS IN ROCKEFELLAR CENTER PERFORMING LIVE BETWEEN 7-9 PM EASTERN TIME AND THEN BEING INTERVIEWED "LIVE" BY LL COOL J IN DOWNTOWN LA AT LIKE 915 EASTERN TIME????? someone was lying about being live and im assuming it was CBS and the Grammy show since i know people who were at the tree lighting....hmmmmmmmmmmm????
But its alright CBS made up for that with the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show which was freakin awesome as always...lots of faces in the crowd including Diddy, Paris, Martha, Terrence Howard and Russel Simmons...of course it wasnt live it was filmed last month...lots of beautiful models as usual...but i have to give it up to Mrs. Heidi Klum aka the wife of Seal and host of Project Runway...im just saying shes like 36 and has had 3 kids and still has a body like that wooooooo and to make things even better shes married to Seal whos the freakin Man!!!

Four Christmases wins Thanksgiving weekend Box Office-
Official number won’t be in till tomorrow morning but Four Christmases will make an estimated 31.6 Million over the weekend to knock off last weeks winner Twilight. The big name Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon comedy is probably the biggest holiday movie of the year will most likely be a big money maker till the end of the year.
Bolt was a surprise in the standings and is estimated to actually go up almost 2 percent in weekend earnings and will finish with around 26.5 Million.
Twilight dropped to third with 26.3 Million, that’s more than a 60 percent drop off from last weekend but there is still time today and it’s possible Bolt and Twilight could flip flop by the morning.
James Bond’s Quantum of Solace and the blockbuster flop Australia finished 4th and 5th with 19.5 and 14.8 million respectively.
The last new movie opening up this weekend was Transporter 3 which finished 7th just under Madagascar 2.
Next weekend there isn’t much action with new releases but the biggest release of the weekend will be “Cadillac Records which chronicles the rise of Chess Records and its recording artists. In this tale of sex, violence, race and rock and roll in Chicago of the 1950s and 60s, the film follows the exciting but turbulent lives of some of America's greatest musical legends.” - info via filmjabber.com
Cadillac Records stars Adrien Brody, Beyonce Knowles, Gabrielle Union, Columbus Short and Emmanuelle Chriqui.
Punisher: WarZone is the other new release this weekend. With Thomas Jane out as the Punisher and Ray Stevenson in, this movie has lost a lot of appeal so don’t expect this one to make the big bucks.
LeBron the Movie?–
Lionsgate have acquired the rights to MORE THAN A GAME, a documentary about the varsity team at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, who travel a winding road from a rundown gymnasium to national glory and NBA riches, seeking to remain a tight-knit quintet even as LeBron James becomes a megamillionaire. The film is said not to be merely a record of James' achievements but as a feel-good story of overcoming adversity.

NFL Week 12
1 - NY Giants - nothing to say here they can win with running, passing, defense, and now even special teams.
2 - NY Jets - Brett is now used to the system and as a result they have won 5 straight including over the Pats in Foxsborough and the undefeated Titans in Nashville...they have a top 5 defense like the Titans but they are also top 5 in scoring
3 - Titans - as much as i know they are not going anywhere but they are here because they are 10-1...we'll see who they are the last 2 games against Pittsburgh and a rejuvenated Indy
4 - Colts - 7-4, rejuvenated, healthy, Peyton, Vinatieri, no one wants a piece of them, Period.
5 - Steelers - So low because of inconsistent Offense, i mean come at home against San Diegos worst ranked pass defense and you only score 3 FGs. They got lucky the defense got a safety. And now this week they have to deal with the resurgent Pats and Matt Cassel...and guess what if they lose and the Ravens win they're tied for the division lead!
6 - Cardinals - On any given day there gonna score Alot. but they still cant run and there Defense is up and down so who knows.
7 - The Tampa Bay Bucs - why not right? They can run, they play awesome Defense, and Jeff Garcia is an animal.
8 - Panthers - they can be so much higher but whats with all this inconsistency people???
9 - Redskins - they have 4 losses and still have the Giants one more time...Portis is hurt but playing but for how long? they are still much better the Cowboys tho because they have a TEAM factor.
10 - Patriots - the only reason they are this low at 10 is because they arent currently in the playoffs..no one should at all be surprised to see the Pats make the playoffs because the way Cassel is playing with 400 pass yards in 2 straight games and rushing TDs...and now hes throwing deep to Moss...watch out Steelers....

Tuesday, November 18, 2008
Oh and a note I left out!
And one more thing...how the heck does NBC give Rosie O'Donnell her own primetime show at 8 pm...what the hell is this...how many times has she been kicked off a show or been dropped...i mean i dont hate Rosie or have anything against her but come on already ENOUGH!!! give good ol' Sonny P a contract and see what happens yeaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Alpz's power rankings
1. Giants (9-1) – Apparently this is up for debate with some people, but they live in a fantasy world. With Eli maturing more every game, the defense making examples of people and the best trio of running backs in the league, the Giants are on the top of the NFL.
2. Titans (10-0) - The Titans may have offensive struggles when it comes to putting up a lot of points, but they score when they need to. The Titans are 10-0 and even though a lot of people criticize there schedule whether or not these teams are the same now doesn’t negate the fact that the Titans have beaten Jacksonville (twice), the Vikings, Green Bay, Baltimore, Chicago and the Colts.
3. Steelers (7-3) – The Steelers have traded wins and loses for the past 5 weeks but still are one of the best teams in the NFL. They have a defense that makes wide receivers and quarterbacks think twice and one of the toughest quarterbacks in the game today that can lead the Steelers to a title if he can control the turnovers.
4. Panthers (8-2) - Two consecutive games for fewer than 100 yards passing and still walking away with wins must say something. It does help facing the awful Raiders and Lions but regardless the Panthers are 8-2. They have a great running game that has kept them in the NFL elite, but if there passing game doesn’t step up as the rest of there games are all tough games, they might note be ranked this high after this week.
5. Jets (7-3) – The J-E-T-S Jets are sitting on top of the AFC East for the first time in a long time. After a game that used to be the Jets specialty in losing falls there way could it be a new life in the future of the Jets. Brett Favre is the face of the franchise but it’s really been the great additions of Faneca, Pace and Jenkins that has pushed the Jets towards a real Super Bowl threat. This Sunday could be the real change as the Jets face the Titans. Can the originally named New York Titans take down the current undefeated Tennessee Titans?
6. Colts (6-4) – With a 6-4 record the Colts are right now on fire. With Arizona and Tampa Bay holding better records, the Colts look like the Colts of old. Peyton Manning has been able to command his troops with on Manning type swag. With there schedule getting easier it looks like Colts are getting hot at the right time.
7. Cardinals (7-3) – The Cardinals have a chance to do some damage come the playoffs. Kurt Warner has showed again that like Brett Favre, you can never be too old to quarterback in the NFL. It looks like Warner could win the NFL MVP again this year and they seem to be getting better as the season goes on.
8. Redskins (6-4) – Washington has had a rough few weeks with two home loses. The coming week with Seattle looks to be a way to right the ship and get them to 7 wins on the season. If Jason Campbell and Portis can keep the skins on track, they’ll find themselves in the playoffs.
9. Tampa Bay (7-3) – The Bucs have quietly beaten some of the best teams in the league this season and while they don’t make highlight reels or lead Sportscenter at the end of the night, they put the W on the board more times than most. The question is can they finally step up in the playoffs.
10. Patriots (6-4) – This came down to the Patriots or Packers( I know there 5-5 but wait till the playoffs, they’ll be dangerous). But rounding out the top 10 is the Patriots, they look to rebound after the loss to the Jets and avenge there loss to the Dolphins earlier this year. Matt Cassel looks better every game and even with an aging defense the Pats make it tough for any team.
That’s it for this week people and remember that no one is unbeatable.
Alright Lets get on with the damn NFL...
#1 - The G-MENNNN!!! yes they have one loss and the Titans dont...ill start with the game with the Ravens...the Titans beat the Ravens after the refs blew a call and the Titans escaped with a win...the Giants well they smashed the best Defense in the league it was the first time a team had rushed for man 200 yards on the Ravens in 11 years!...adding to that the Giants have rolled over just about every other team as well...and they have one of the hardest schedules in the league compared to the Titans having one of the easiest...regardless the Giants can win close games and they can blow people out...the Titans have yet to blow anyone out...
#2 - The Undefeated Tennessee Titans - why simply because they are undefeated...regardless of how good the other teams are they have won every game they have been in...but we'll see this week against the Jets then weeks 15 and 16 can get interesting against the Steelers and at Indy
#3 - The other NY team the Jets - now the Jets are here because im predicting they beat the Titans lol...i mean they can run, they can play special teams, they can play Defense, and Favre is their QB enough said
#4 - Is a tie betweeen the Steelers and the Panthers...bc both to me are inconsistent...both have great Defenses along with great running...but whats with Ben and Jake arent they supposed to be some of the elite QBs in the league...for god sakes the Steelers got 11 points on Sunday at HOME! idk i need to see some consistency from both teams.
#5 - Is yet another tie between two teams who seem to be at opposite ends right now...The Arizona Cardinals and the Indy Colts..now the Cards are winning their division by 4 games and the Colts are back of theirs by 4 games...but I tie them and I put the Colts so high because of the QBs...as great as Warner has been playing we know what Kurt Warner is known for and why he wasnt even the solid starter coming into the season he turns the ball over and ALOT...now we havent seen much of it so far but what about when the weather gets bad and it gets cold??
Now why do i put the Colts up here? Because they have Peyton Manning and he simply wins games...another reason they are starting to click again on offense...Marvin and Reggie and making big plays...Clark is Clark...and most important Addai is back and running the ball well again...and once Sanders gets and stays healthy that defense will look good...and the last 3 wins of which 1 was against the Pats and the other IN Pittsburgh we saw that great offense we are used to...
Regardless of the rankings its the effing NFL anything can and will happen and next week who knows this list may be upside down!!
Til next time we out!!

TRL - Total Finale Live
On tomorrows show we're gonna review Week 11 in the NFL oh god!
Saturday, November 15, 2008
Ohhh Yeahh...And Here we GO!!
But enough of the jitter jatter lets get on with business...let me start with the CMA Awards(if u could care less theres Football in the next paragraph)...now im not a huge Country Music fan but Carrie Underwood is my future wife(she just doesnt know yet) and beside the fact shes absolutely beautiful I love her songs as well...I also like some of Taylor Swifts stuff and the occasional Sugarland song...but anyway Carrie was co-host with Brad Paisley it was a good show but my HD kept cutting out for like the first hour and half...Swifts performance was pretty sweet she changed her outfit in the middle of the performance like some David Blaine stunt...and Carrie sang Just A Dream after some Army Widow introduced her and half the audience started crying...then there was dun dun dun LIL WAYNE...i see this guy rockin out on stage in a Titans jersey playin the guitar and I was just like wait lemme rewind this and yup it was him lol good stuff...
Now on with the Thursday Night Football game between the Jets and Pats for 1st place in the AFC East...now after the first 28 minutes i thought this game was over and the Jets were gonna smash the Patriots but to half the worlds surprise Matt Cassel leads a second half come back!! Matt Cassel people this guy hadnt started a game since High School and now hes the 1st and only player in NFL history to throw for 400 yards and rush for 60 yards in one game...but anyway the game goes to OT and Favre and Dustin Keller go to work and win on a Feely FG that barely made it...all i gotta say is Dustin Keller is a freakin beast...some really good rookies this season...regardless the Jets have 1st place in the AFC East and they have the Titans next week so i mean they can still get 1st in the Conference who woulda thought...
I just got an idea and I think Im gonna do some NFL Power Rankings for the rest of the season and make some predictions we'll see hmmm...anyway LEMME SEE SOME RESPONSES/COMMENTS/OPINIONS/VIEWS whatever just brew up some convo we're gonna go Oprah on this thing just minus the billions of dollars!!!
